HomeLegal Validity of Certificates

ORDAIN Global™️ operates under SAVA International™️, a private credentialing and spiritual empowerment body offering sovereign, interfaith ministerial titles. These certificates hold varying levels of legal recognition depending on your country, state, and the type of ceremony you intend to perform.

United States: State-by-State Validity

In the United States, ministerial ordination is generally recognized in all 50 states for the purpose of performing weddings, funerals, baptisms, and spiritual counseling. However, some states have specific registration requirements before you can legally officiate a wedding.

States Where Online Ordination is Typically Recognized:

  • California

  • Texas

  • Florida

  • New York

  • Illinois

  • Ohio

  • Georgia

  • North Carolina

  • Nevada

  • Most others

💡 In these states, you may generally perform weddings without registering, or by simply presenting your credentials when asked.

States With Special Requirements:

  • Virginia: Some counties may not recognize online ordinations or may require court approval.

  • Tennessee: Only ministers ordained through a physical congregation may perform weddings.

  • Pennsylvania: Certain counties challenge online ordinations—case-by-case acceptance.

  • Alabama & Mississippi: Some counties require additional documentation or in-person verification.

🔍 Always check with your local County Clerk or Recorder’s Office before officiating a marriage ceremony.

United Kingdom Legal Standing

In the UK, spiritual and religious services such as funerals and blessings are generally allowed without legal restriction.

However:

  • To legally solemnize a marriage, you must be registered as an authorized officiant with the General Register Office (GRO) or affiliated with a legally recognized religious body.

  • Ordain Global™️ ministers may conduct symbolic weddings, spiritual ceremonies, or blessings, but legal registration for marriage ceremonies requires additional steps.

European Union Legal Standing

In most EU countries:

  • Private or symbolic ceremonies (funerals, blessings, dedications, spiritual guidance) are legally permissible.

  • Legal marriages must be performed by a civil registrar or a recognized religious official approved by the state.

Ordain Global™️ credentials support spiritual roles, not civil authority unless local laws grant such status.

Spiritual Legitimacy ≠ Civil Authority

Your ordination with Ordain Global™️ is valid spiritually and religiously. Civil recognition varies. We encourage all ministers to honor both their spiritual calling and legal obligations.
